She/Her
I grew up in Southern Ontario and spent my youth working towards a career in either music or physiotherapy. As a university student, I came to faith in Jesus, and discovered that neither my academic achievements, nor my career aspirations, were where I wanted to place my identity and sense of worth. Following my undergraduate degree, I attended seminary, and worked in pastoral ministry for five years in Toronto. In 2021, I moved to Edmonton with my husband, Josh. We began attending Good Shepherd, and became parents to Nate, in 2022. I've been very grateful for the opportunities to serve, utilizing my gifts and experience in ministry at Good Shepherd, and have been praying about how my ministry vocation will continue to evolve in our new life in Edmonton. I am eager to train as a Lay Evangelist in order to expand and further refine some of my pastoral skills for use outside the walls of the church, where I see a great need for people to encounter the love and presence of Jesus.
We respectfully acknowledge that we are on Treaty 6 territory. In the spirit of peace, friendship and understanding we walk alongside our Indigenous brothers and sisters on the traditional meeting ground and home of Indigenous Peoples, including Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis and Nakota Sioux. We give thanks for their hospitality and the opportunity to share common ground.
