TORONTO, July 28, 2026 — The Anglican Foundation of Canada’s 2026 Say Yes! to Kids campaign has come to a close with its strongest results to date.
Together, 24 fundraising teams from across the Anglican Church of Canada raised more than $165,000 in support of local ministries with children, youth, and young adults. It marks the most successful Say Yes! to Kids campaign since the initiative began in 2021.
The numbers tell an encouraging story. Fourteen teams exceeded their fundraising goals, while every remaining team achieved at least 80 per cent of its target. As in previous years, AFC’s anonymous Angel Donor matched the first $1,000 raised by every participating team, giving each campaign an immediate boost and helping to build momentum from day one.
“The matching gift does so much more than double those first donations,” says Dr. Scott Brubacher, Executive Director of AFC. “It creates momentum. Every team begins the campaign with an exciting story to tell, donors know their gifts will have twice the impact, and that early success builds confidence that carries throughout the campaign. We remain profoundly grateful to our Angel Donor, whose faithful generosity has become one of the defining strengths of Say Yes! to Kids.”
“What inspires me most is seeing how this campaign continues to grow,” says Michelle Hauser, AFC’s Development and Communications Officer and campaign lead for Say Yes! to Kids. “The Foundation provides the platform, but the real energy comes from local leaders who know their communities and invite others into the work. Every year, we see new ideas, stronger partnerships, and more people saying ‘yes’ to the next generation.”
Among the campaign’s returning participants was Camp Huron, whose annual fundraiser has become an important part of its development program. The camp once again emerged as the campaign’s top fundraiser, raising more than $42,800 through the generosity of its supporters.
“Our partnership with the Anglican Foundation of Canada has been invaluable, not only in providing financial support, but in helping us share the story of why investing in young people matters,” says Rodger Moran, Development Officer for Camp Huron. “For 80 years, Camp Huron has been a place where generations of children and youth have found friendship, confidence, faith, and a deep sense of belonging. Say Yes! to Kids gives our community an annual opportunity to carry that legacy forward, welcome new supporters into our mission, and help ensure that future generations can experience all that camp makes possible.”
Behind every campaign total is an extraordinary community of generosity. The Anglican Foundation extends heartfelt thanks to every donor, volunteer, and team captain who made this record-breaking year possible.
“This campaign is about more than fundraising,” says Hauser. “It’s about becoming. Every team that joins, every donor who gives, and every young person who is welcomed into ministry is helping to shape the Church we are becoming together. Year after year, we’re seeing what’s possible when people say ‘yes’ to the next generation—and that’s why we’re so excited about what 2027 will bring.”
Parishes, dioceses, camps, and ministries interested in taking part in the 2027 Say Yes! to Kids campaign are invited to pre-register by emailing foundation@anglicanfoundation.org.
