Maundy Thursday + Good Friday

Our journey with Jesus to the Cross begins.

  • Thursday, 7pm

    • We gather for a holy meal, to “do this in remembrance of [him]” as Jesus commanded us

    • We allow our feet to be washed as we contemplate the extraordinary gift Jesus gives us

    • This service usually lasts around 1 hour and 15 minutes

    • We Watch with Jesus overnight as he waits for his arrest in the Garden of Gethsemane

  • Friday, 9am

    • Our Watch concludes with the observance of Morning Prayer

    • This service usually lasts around 30 minutes

  • Friday, 12 noon

    • We gather for solemn worship with prayer and veneration of the Cross upon which hung the Saviour of the world

    • This service usually lasts around an hour

  • Friday, 4pm

    • Children are invited into an interactive service that walks around the church and explores the final events in Jesus’s life in a developmentally appropriate way

    • This is an active, moving service that engages children without requiring them to be quiet or still

    • This service usually lasts around 45 minutes


Easter Vigil + Easter Day

We wait at Jesus’s Tomb to hear the Good News that Christ is risen.

  • Saturday, 8:30pm

    • Our worship begins in darkness as we hear the stories of God’s plan for salvation beginning all the way back in Creation

    • We light the New Fire, baptize new believers, and renew our own commitment to following Jesus

    • We celebrate the First Eucharist of Easter as our joy rings to the rafters

    • This service usually lasts between 1.5 - 2 hours

    • You are invited to bring a small bell to ring during the Alleluias

  • Sunday, 10:30pm

    • We celebrate the Good News that Christ is Risen

    • We offer a traditional Ukrainian blessing of the Easter baskets

      • Whether yours is filled with traditional items like bread and salt or more contemporary choices like chocolate bunnies, bring your basket to church to receive a special blessing

    • This service usually lasts around 1 hour and 15 minutes

    • Join us after church for a festive potluck luncheon, as on every third Sunday

      • Don’t forget to bring a non-perishable item to feed the food bank!
